Protoceratops at the Melbourne Museum.
Protoceratops was a genus of small Protoceratopsian from late Cretaceous Mongolia. It has two known species: P. andrewsi and P. hellenikorhinus.
It’s believed that it’s fossils may have been the origin of the Griffin myth.
