natgeowild Video by @alexbraczkowski | I filmed these chital (also known as spotted deer) in Sri-Lanka’s #yala national park with @stevewinterphoto. These females get to about 45 kilograms in size and are easy to spot by their gorgeous white spots and high pitched alarm yelp! They’re also the favorite food of leopards in many parts of India and Sri-Lanka. Yala National Park is one of The Asian sub-continents hidden gems and a place where you can see everything from bears to marine turtles, and just a few meters apart (the jungles meet beach!)
