Open pre-orders for virtual reality headset Dell Visor

Dell started taking pre-orders for virtual reality headset Visor Dell based on Windows platform, Mixed Reality. As previously reported, price’s debut device, the company demonstrated at the IFA 2017 will be $350. Complete with two controllers, the novelty will cost $100 more.

Visor is the result of a partnership between technology giant from Redmond with a number of manufacturers, which also includes Acer and ASUS, in an attempt to start production of devices with support for augmented and virtual reality is much more affordable than its HoloLens $3,000.

The headset is equipped with two of 2.89-inch displays with a resolution of 1440 × 1440 pixels, a viewing angle of 110° and support for panoramic 360° view. Controllers Dell Visor provides total flexibility with six degrees of freedom of movement, the sensors respond to finger touch and pressing buttons, providing full reverse tactile communication.

In the same way as other devices in Windows Mixed Reality, headset, virtual reality Visor Dell will need a compatible computer, such as gaming computers Dell Inspiron 15 7000 and Inspiron.

Sale Dell Visor and controllers will start on 17 October.
