This image shows the incredibly turbulent northern zone of Jupiter’s folded filamentary regions (FFRs). Juno captured this view during its sixth perijove flyby on May 19, 2017 at a resolution of 30 pixels per degree.
The image has been adjusted for brightness, then strongly enhanced using radiometric data. Some illumination effect was then added again in order to recover the 3D appearance.
