Ancient Dartmoor Cross (Bennet’s Cross), Dartmoor National Park, 27.12.17.

This relic is one of series of crosses to be found across the landscape of Dartmoor. Some are navigational aids due to the remote and featureless landscapes and some are waymarkers on routes between Abbeys. Some are no more than a hundred years ago but others like the one above may even be up to a thousand years old.
