Ballowall Barrow Photo Set 2, St. Just. Cornwall, 28.12.17.
This second set of images highlights the various cist and burial site remains in the complex Bronze Age barrow. Thought to have been in use over a period of a thousand years or more, this funerary site contains various cist caskets. Some however, like that in image 6, have been excavated and possibly reshaped. The work of Victorian antiquarians means that we are no longer able to ascertain the true structure of this complex and mysterious site.
