On December 25th, 2016, at 2h 11min 10s UT, the Danish fireball camera network recorded a bright fireball. According to the computation based on 4 video records, the fireball was heading ENE and ended at a 31 km altitude near the North coast of Zealand region. Its calculated atmospheric entry speed was around 20 km/s.
A few days later, another bright fireball lit up the sky of Belgium and the Netherlands near 2h 10min UT, on January 3rd, 2017. Some people (like Jonathan D. from Ternat, Belgium) reported hearing strong bangs a few minutes after having seen the fireball. CAMS BeNeLux meteor observers checked their video recordings of their sky cameras, shared them and could determinated the path of the object.

According to first results from Carl Johannink and Marco Langbroek, the fireball (magnitude max : -10) was visible during 7 seconds, and crossed the sky of Belgium at a 11,3 km/s entry speed, starting being visible at a 80 km altitude and ending its luminous path above Antwerp at a 30 km altitude.
A few days ago, during the Quadrantids period of highest activity, a bright fireball was recorded by an embarked cameras in Russia. According to the video record, it seems to have occured on January 3rd, 2017, around 18h 43min local time.
