Support for the International Journal of Nautical Archaeology

We are pleased to announce that the Society has been awarded a three-year grant by the Honor Frost Foundation to support the promotion and development of our journal, the International Journal of Nautical Archaeology.

The grant will be used to promote the IJNA to both potential authors and subscribers around the world. Over the three years the editor, Miranda Richardson, will attend conferences to hear about ground-breaking work, meet researchers and encourage contributions to the journal. Look out for her at the forthcoming Society for Historical Archaeology conference in Washington in January 2016 and at IKUWA 6 in Freemantle in November 2016.

Details of specific initiatives and other events will be announced in the coming months.

The International Journal of Nautical Archaeology has been the premier academic peer-reviewed journal for the subject since 1972. The IJNA provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and research relevant to all aspects of nautical archaeology. The print-edition IJNA is published twice a year in March and September, while articles are published online throughout the year as they are completed. NAS members who subscribe to IJNA have online access to the latest articles, as well as to the current issue and all back issues.
