Tickets still available for this year’s conference!

The Nautical Archaeology Society is excited to be partnering with the Society for Post-Medieval Archaeology hosting a joint conference in Portsmouth on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd November 2015, at the University of Portsmouth’s Portland Building.

The aim of the joint event is to bridge the gap between terrestrial and marine archaeology audiences, focusing on the post-medieval period from the 16th century to the present day.

The conference will particularly focus on the way that ships and shipping are generative of the modern world. Terrestrial archaeologists often study sites and assemblages either produced for or procured by maritime trade and warfare and yet there is a disconnect between the two sub-disciplines. The conference is excited to have an amazing line-up of speakers from Britain and overseas including the USA, Canada, Australia, Holland, France and Belgium.

Tickets are still available and for more information please click here.
