Erchless Pictish Pendant, Inverness Museum and Gallery, Inverness, Scotland, 21.12.19.
This intricately carved shale pendant seems to mark a crossroads of cultures with a Nordic biting beast on one side and a Western Isle Styled High Cross on the other. The beast image is also accompanied by a simple Roman styled cross and a Pictish styled snake symbol.
