HiPOD (25 April 2018): Spider Formations in Crater
Of course, these aren’t actual spider, but that’s the name we give to these formations, called “araneiform.” The spiders here would be very unusual at northern latitudes. Seasonal series of pictures will allow us to compare processes extant here at a location with permanent ice.
NASA/JPL/University of Arizona (319 km above the surface. Black and white is less than 5 km across and enhanced color is less than 1 km across.)
